Academic Progress Standards: Undergraduate Students
Niagara University is committed to supporting each student’s educational experience and assisting them in earning their undergraduate degree program in a timely manner. To provide clear feedback on academic standing, the university has established Academic Progress Standards (APS). These standards also enable the university to identify students who may be facing challenges so they can be connected with supportive resources and strategic advising to help improve their academic performance.

Please note: Academic Progress Standards (APS) are separate from the Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Requirements for Undergraduate Students used by Niagara’s Financial Aid Office to determine students’ ongoing eligibility for federal and institutional financial aid. Please note that students who do not meet APS risk not meeting the Financial Aid Office’s SAP requirements. For financial aid inquiries or to better understand SAP requirements, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 716.286.8686 or fao@niagara.edu.
