The library supports student learning and knowledge creation by providing assistance and access to technology, information resources and individual and collaborative work and study space.
Part of the library is open 24 hours. Swipe your NU ID card at the door to enter during extended hours.
You may eat and drink in the library. Vending machines are located on the main and second floors.
Do Research 24/7 From Anywhere
The library provides remote online access to most of its databases, which means you can access electronic books and journal articles anywhere, anytime via the library’s website: https://library.niagara.edu/.
Computers are located throughout the building, with the main floor functioning as the main computer lab on campus. Multifunction printers/copiers/scanners are located on all three floors of the building. A color printer is available on the main floor.
The library’s collection consists of more than 30,000 periodical titles and 1.1 million books in print and electronic formats. We also offer a recreational collection with entertaining novels and DVDs. Your University ID card is your library card. Visit the first floor service desk for assistance registering your card.
If the library does not own an item you need, we can almost always obtain it for you. We’ll even deliver copies of articles directly to you via email.
There are nine study rooms available in the library that you can reserve online.
Dr. Rita N. Moretti Teachers’ Studio
The Teachers’ Studio, located on the second floor of the library, contains a collection of Children’s Literature. An Ellison letter machine and an electronic Cutout Maker are also available that can help you create posters and bulletin boards.
