Library Services

Students in the Ontario program are welcome to visit the Library facility in person on the Lewiston Campus, but we know that Niagara University Ontario students will usually access services in Vaughan or from home.

To make that easier, the Library provides online access to research materials, help from librarians, interlibrary loan support, and access to local library services through the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Library.

Do Research 24/7 From Anywhere

The Library provides remote online access to its research resources. This means students can search for electronic books, academic journals, and research databases anywhere, at any time, directly through the Library’s website.

Get Research Help

Academic librarians are available during most staffed hours to serve as expert research partners. They can help students:

●     Identify the best information resources.

●     Develop effective search strategies for scholarly databases.

●     Evaluate sources for credibility and academic rigor.

●     Format citations accurately according to style guides.

Librarians can be reached in a number of ways:

●     One-on-one appointments via Zoom.

Request Articles through Document Delivery or Borrow Books Through the Vaughan Public Library

While the Library’s journal collection is extensive enough to cover most immediate needs, we can also obtain articles outside our journal collection. Library staff will gladly obtain the material from another institution and deliver it directly to students’ interlibrary loan portal

Beginning in Fall 2026, Vaughan campus students will also have full access to the nearby Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Library, opening up access to books across Canada’s extensive interlibrary loan network. It is located within walking distance of the campus. Learn more about its facility and operating hours on its website.

Vaughan Public Library Hours of Operation:

Monday – Thursday: 9:00am to 9:00pm

Friday: 9:00am to 6:00pm

Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
