Goals
Goals The College of Arts and Sciences offers a flexible associate in arts (A.A.) in General Studies. This program of study is intended for students seeking an associate in arts degree as a terminal degree or as a stepping stone along the path to a bachelor’s degree.
General studies provides students with a broadly based, integrated course of study in liberal arts which introduces students to a specific body of knowledge, stimulates a student’s intellectual curiosity and encourages future study. Working with an advisor, students can tailor the program to meet their academic and career goals. The curriculum can be adjusted to assist them in transitioning into specific bachelor’s degree programs. A student enrolled in this program selects from the same courses available to other NU students.
