Niagara University has a long history of honoring and supporting students who, like you, served all of us through service in our nation’s armed forces. Since its earliest days, countless numbers of soldiers and veterans have attended Niagara, enriching the campus and transforming the lives of others. Niagara University has been recognized by many different organizations for their outstanding support of the military and veterans. In 2016 NU was recognized as number two in the nation as Veteran Friendly^© for campuses under 10,000 students. This office takes great pride in providing the individual attention to every student who comes into our office.

Our office was established to assist military, veterans and their family members with their transition to academic life. Our office is staffed by two military veterans who know first-hand what it is like to be a veteran using VA education benefits. We provide many different services; we can assist you with applying for your VA Education benefits, we are the certifying official for your benefits, and we also provide guidance as you move along your academic journey. There is a private lounge for our military and veteran students. Niagara Student Veterans Organization was the first national recognized chapter in Western New York.

Niagara has welcomed many veterans who came back to school, either to begin or resume their education. In that same welcoming spirit, we welcome you to our campus and thank you for your service.
