Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA)

The office offers educational and social opportunities that promote a positive multicultural learning community, one which fosters campus-wide unity and appreciation for the richness of all cultures. Events highlighting the diversity on campus are presented throughout the year via culturally sensitive workshops, panel discussions, video presentations, and live performances. The office also provides advisement emphasizing the importance of leadership and organizational dynamics to student groups and individual campus leaders In addition, students can receive guidance with interpersonal relations and problem-solving strategies throughout their academic careers.

OMA is a major resource for bringing awareness of issues concerning diversity to the students, staff, faculty and administration of Niagara. The university’s Diversity Committee is composed of various member of the community and strives to bring the values of equality, respect, acceptance, fellowship, and understanding to all by providing developmental workshops and programs.
